* checks realPath() against no-existent files,
* checks the file suffix '.gmi'
* checks the directory belongs to that of the site.

HtmGem

HtmGem is Php program whose goal is to make Gemini files reachable through HTTP. It can be used on a shared host.

You can see a demo on the main page of HtmGem:

Usage

  • Copy the directory htmgem at the root of the website.
  • Access to the directory and follow the instructions.

Requirements

  • Php v7.3
  • Php-mbstring module to deal with unicode characters
  • A web server (well testing with Apache and Nginx)
  • mod-rewrite to intercept the Gemini files
