We are civ2. A fleet of ships dedicated to building a civilization that works.
Our first civilization, civ1, has failed, and there is no hope of restructuring it because of the entrenched power structures.
Problems with civ1:
Humans believe what makes them feel good, and this leads to poor decision making. The vector sum of all these poor decisions has put planet Earth on a course of planetary ecosystem collapse.
