thing working? Oh yes, I can see it on the screen. How nifty.
Usually I'm not the type for making logs - I can remember what's
happened in my life, thank you, I don't need to immortalize every
thought that occurs to me. Plus my thoughts might not be very nice
at times and I don't need Captain Kelley to hate me any more than he
already does when he reads me slip up.
But Conny told me it might help me deal better
with whatever's on my mind - he also assured me that no one ever reads
personal logs and that unless I get brutally murdered I won't have to
worry about Kelley reading any of it.
I'm on my way back from the conference at the moment.
It was very good. I've got a whole new database of recipes out of it.
The conferences are always a great reminder of how my own
colleagues don't appreciate me.
The crew of the Turing 3 don't even really see me as a real member.
I may not be a big shot scientist, military officer or politician but
I'd like to see what they'd do if I stopped making their food.
Spaceship staff always acts like its right at the top of society,
just because it hangs out in a big tin can instead of a real celestial body.
People with real jobs and practical skills like myself can't compete with their
awesome knowledge of big lights and how the engine works.
You'd think they'd be nicer to the person who controls what goes into their food,
after all they wouldn't even know if I spit in it.
I don't spit in it though. That would be a real bad move. I would totally never
do such a thing. So for the record, little box, please note - extra big and shiny -
that I have never ever in my life ever spit in Captain Kelleys food every single time.
My fellow cooks at the conference are always a positive light in my life.
People and creatures from all around the known universe come to
share their traditional recipes. I met a person from Cryllx who showed me a very
interesting Cryllxan recipe. It's kind of like cake except there isn't any Oh my Goddess
what is that.
