LOCATION... G13"
Mr Swarm and Super Hex rushed down a small ladder and counted
across to find throbbing black slime bubbling from the vents and
around the edge of the door -- thin gooey strands pumping to and
fromi a larger blob gently pulsating on the ceiling, a stripe of
rainbow lights blinking from somewhere deep inside of it. Hex
gingerly poked it with her screwdriver, her hand jerked back with a
spark, leaving the screwdriver spinning towards the floor.
"Trajectory found," the computer declared, "ENGINES: ONLINE."
Hex and Mr Swarm looked at each other. The ship lurched forward,
knocking them to the floor.
Cranium ran into the cockpit and started pressing buttons on a
small panel, with me close behind. A series of commands was given
to the AI, the response to each was the same "USER ACCESS: DENIED."
"We're being jammed up here, what's happening in the datastore?" I
said into the intercom.
"It's black-rasberry," crackled Hex, "it's all over the 13th
datablock, and the overhead conduit"
