Dr. Dean Salo became interested in cosmetic restorations while working in a dental lab while attending UCLA. In 1989, he graduated as the youngest student in his class with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Dean graduated at 24 with a DDS from University of Pacific’s Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He provides excellent service to many famous faces in Los Angeles and patients seeking top-quality personalized patient care. Dr. Salo has an integrative practice located in South Bay and Miracle Mile and leads some of the best dental professionals in Los Angeles. Dr. Renate Gangel graduated in 1986 from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Her career in dentistry derives from her excellence in patient care. Dr. Gangel sets high standards for her care while still providing a personal feel to her patients. She has a natural talent for calming patients’ nerves. Dr. Renate has widespread knowledge of dentistry including but not limited to cosmetic restorations, prosthetics creations, and routine care. She enjoys caring for patients with special needs and elderly patients because they require specific care.

Dr. Renate has a passion for learning. She attends multiple courses, lectures, and seminars and is eager to further her knowledge of dentistry. Dr. Gangel is attentive to the newest dental technological advancements. She uses digital x-ray diagnoses which helps her patients avoid high levels of radiation and helps her give a better diagnosis. Additionally, Dr. Gangel has trained and is certified in the use of soft tissue lasers.

Dr. Gangel was born in Buenos Aires in Argentina. At 3 years old, she moved to Long Beach, California. Long Beach became Dr. Renate’s home where she graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Biology. Currently, Dr. Renate Gangel lives in Lakewood with Annie, her daughter, and her two dogs. When she’s not practicing dentistry, she’s enjoying decorating, gardening, and cooking.

Dr. Besser practiced as a general dentist with a passion for Endodontics. After only a year of being a dental practitioner, she returned to school. She entered a competitive, male-dominated, and highly renowned USC School of Dentistry’s Endodontic program. There, she earned her Endodontic certification, after 2 years of meticulous training, and became a Board Eligible Endodontist.

Dr. Salamati started a dental practice in 2003 in Beverly Hills, and since then has maintained his dental implants and periodontics private practice. After graduating, Dr. Afshin, also, teaches at UCLA. While attending UCLA, Dr. Afshin Salamati participated in multiple clinical and laboratory trials.

Dr. Alex Brandon is the son of an orthodontist. While in high school, he started his dental training in Seattle by assisting his father. In order to pay for his University of Washington undergraduate education, he worked as a charter boat skipper. At the University of San Francisco is where Dr. Alex began his dental academic career, and then later earned his DDS degree. After earning his degree, he graduated from Columbia University’s orthodontic program in 1996.

For over 10 years Dr. Alex Brandon has been creating healthy, functional, beautiful smiles. He always builds unique bonds with his patients, both adults, and children. Dr. Brandon’s personality is outgoing and friendly which helps smooth the orthodontic process for his patients. He builds his procedures on establishing functional bite, placing TMJ in a natural position, and improving dental and facial esthetics. Dr. Andrew Chen graduated with his DDS Degree in 1992 from The University of Southern California. He completed his 2-year residency program of anesthesiology in 1994 from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Andrew Chen has published research in multiple trade publications as well as many academic appointments. He is a member of multiple professional societies and organizations including the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Chen has also earned a FADSA and is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor for the American Heart Association.

Oscar Alonzo, DDS, MD is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, where he completed his undergraduate training at San Francisco State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Dr. Alonzo, obtained his DDS degree from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco, which he followed with an esteemed postgraduate residency training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Los Angeles County-Martin Luther King Jr. / Drew Medical Center.

Upon graduating from his residency, Dr. Alonzo went on to medical school training at the University of California, Los Angeles/Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science program. He completed a one-year general surgery internship at the University of California, Davis/East Bay in Oakland, California. He also has certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Alonzo has over twenty-five years of private practice experience as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Southern California and has over twenty years of experience as a General Anesthesia Evaluator for the State of California.

He is a fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, a diplomat of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and an active member in good standing with the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
