The song, a Christian Hymn, was [originally published](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazing_Grace) in 1779 in England.
This particular recording was published in 1972 by RCA Victor, and was performed by the Military Band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. It stands out for its vocall-less rendition of the song that is rich in harmony.
