Ethnocology

So I was playing a word puzzle game on the ##chat freenode IRC channel. One of the hard words' hint was this:

study of origins of races or ethnic groups

So I answered ethnocology. Obviously it's wrong, the right answer was ethnogeny. But I wondered why ethnocology isn't a real word. So as a joke, a player named sappheiros invented the following definition:

the study of how into-their-race people present themselves as

It was funny. But hey, it could work!
