--- title: 2014-11-06 --- I took a train from my parents' city to the nearest large city to visit a shop. The shop was named something along the lines of `tara` or `alia`. I was there to retrieve three shirts, one red, one green and one blue, that mom had ordered. Dad was flaunting his privilege of having a weird option on his train ticket to head to another city in the opposite direction without having to go through a station in the outskirts of the city. I explained to him, while looking at the departures sign in the train station, that we did not need that and we could just go to our destination directly. I later found on the train operator's website that there is a "Train doors" option on train tickets that gets you a seat that gives a nicer view for train enthusiasts.
