Aidan MacDonald 4c60bc9e68 New port: Shanling Q1 native
- Audio playback works
- Touchscreen and buttons work
- Bootloader works and is capable of dual boot
- Plugins are working
- Cabbiev2 theme has been ported
- Stable for general usage

Thanks to Marc Aarts for porting Cabbiev2 and plugin bitmaps.

There's a few minor known issues:

- Bootloader must be installed manually using 'usbboot' as there is
  no support in jztool yet.

- Keymaps may be lacking, need further testing and feedback.

- Some plugins may not be fully adapted to the screen size and could
  benefit from further tweaking.

- LCD shows abnormal effects under some circumstances: for example,
after viewing a mostly black screen an afterimage appears briefly
when going back to a brightly-lit screen. Sudden power-off without
proper shutdown of the backlight causes a "dissolving" effect.

- CW2015 battery reporting driver is buggy, and disabled for now.
Battery reporting is currently voltage-based using the AXP192.

They were never finished, never saw any release ever, and haven't

they are not worth trying to fix.

William Wilgus c62493e98a Xduoo X3 Add tree scrolling FS#13240, Emulate Multibutton presses
Fixes deficiencies with the button system on the X3

The x3 has an interesting button layout.
Multiple key presses are NOT supported unless
[BUTTON_POWER] is one of the combined keys

As you can imagine this causes problems as the power button takes
precedence in the button system and initiates a shutdown if the
  key is held too long
instead of BUTTON_POWER use BUTTON_PWRALT in combination with other keys
IF using as a prerequsite button then BUTTON_POWER should be used

Multiple buttons are emulated by button_read_device but there are a few
  caveats to be aware of:

  Button Order Matters!
different keys have different priorities, higher priority keys 'overide'
   the lower priority keys
  VOLUP[7] VOLDN[6] PREV[5] NEXT[4] PLAY[3] OPTION[2] HOME[1]

There will be no true release or repeat events, the user can let off the
button pressed initially and it will still continue to appear to be
pressed as long as the second key is held

Tree scrolling is PLAY+NEXT or PLAY+PREV

William Wilgus cb94b3ae2e keyboard add ability to specify temporary custom layouts
rb core allows you to load custom keyboard layouts

this patch adds the ability to load a keyboard layout in a buffer
the custom layout is temporary and does not overwrite the current layout

use like so:

    unsigned short kbd[64];
    unsigned short *kbd_p = kbd;
    if (!kbd_create_layout("ABCD1234\n", kbd, sizeof(kbd)))
        kbd_p = NULL;

    rb->kbd_input(buf,sizeof(buf), kbd_p);

Sebastian Leonhardt f2f1889b10 Sokoban: enable restarting level via "Select Level"
This patch disables the (deliberate) feature of "Select Level",
that selecting the current level wouldn't restart but rather
resume. (i.e. now selecting any level will always start this
from scratch).

There definitely should be a way to restart the current level
via menu. Currently the only possibility to do this is via
button presses, but (a) these are hard to remember combos, and
(b) they are not defined on all targets.
This patch is meant as a lightwight alternative to g#1356
(adding a "restart level" option to the menu).

Sebastian Leonhardt a507bb2837 YH8xx,YH9xx: Keymap improvement
The main "innovation" in this patch are two "virtual buttons"
for the record switch on YH92x targets. When the switch state
changes, a single BUTTON_REC_SW_ON or .._OFF button event will
be generated. Thus keymap code can react on switching, but
not on the actual state of the switch.

Wherever sensible, the following user scheme is applied:
- use PLAY as confirm button
- use REW button or Long REW to exit
- use REC (YH820) or FFWD (YH92X) as modifier key for button combos

Simon Rothen 0b5ad60c26 Introducing Targets iBasso DX50 & iBasso DX90
The port to for this two targets has been entirely developped by Ilia Sergachev (alias Il or xzcc). His source
can be found at https://bitbucket.org/isergachev/rockbox . The few necesary modifications for the DX90 port
was done by headwhacker form head-fi.org. Unfortunately i could not try out the final state of the DX90 port.
The port is hosted on android (without java) as standalone app. The official Firmware is required to run this port.
Ilia did modify the source files for the "android" target in the rockbox source to make the DX port work. The work I did
was to separate the code for DX50 (&DX90) from the android target.
On this Target Ilia used source from tinyalsa from AOSP. I did not touch that part of the code because I do not understand it.
What else I changed from Ilias sources besides the separation from the target "android":
* removed a dirty hack to keep backlight off
* changed value battery meter to voltage battery meter
* made all plugins compile (named target as "standalone") and added keymaps
* i added the graphics for the manual but did not do anything else for the manual yet
* minor optimizations

known bugs:
* timers are slowed donw when playback is active (tinyalsa related?)
* some minor bugs

Things to do:
* The main prolem will be how to install the app correctly. A guy called DOC2008 added a CWM (by androtab.info) to the
official firmware and Ilia made a CWM installation script and a dualboot selector (rbutils/ibassoboot, build with
ndk-build). We will have to find a way to install rockbox in a proper way without breaking any copyrights.
Maybe ADB is an option but it is not enable with OF by default. Patching the OF is probably the way to go.
* All the wiki and manual

to build:
needed: android ndk installed, android sdk installed with additional build-tools 19.1.0 installed

./tools/configure
select iBasso DX50 or iBasso DX90
make -j apk

the content of rockbox.zip/.rockbox needs to be copied to /system/rockbox/app_rockbox/rockbox/ (rockbox app not needed)
the content of libs/armeabi to /system/rockbox/lib/ (rockbox app needed)

The boot selector is needed as /system/bin/MangoPlayer and the iBasso app as /system/bin/MangoPlayer_original. There
is also the "vold" file. The one from OF does not work with DX50 rockbox (DX90 works!?), the one from Ilia is necessary.

Until we have found a proper way to install it, it can only be installed following the instructions of Ilia on his
bitbucket page, using the CWM-OF and his installation script package.

Thomas Martitz 249bba03f1 Initial commit of the Samsung YP-R0 port.
This port is a hybrid native/RaaA port. It runs on a embedded linux system,
but is the only application. It therefore can implement lots of stuff that
native targets also implement, while leveraging the underlying linux kernel.

The port is quite advanced. User interface, audio playback, plugins work
mostly fine. Missing is e.g. power mangement and USB (see SamsungYPR0 wiki page).

Included in utils/ypr0tools are scripts and programs required to generate
a patched firmware. The patched firmware has the rootfs modified to load
Rockbox. It includes a early/safe USB mode.

This port needs a new toolchain, one that includes glibc headers and libraries.
rockboxdev.sh can generate it, but e.g. codesourcey and distro packages may
also work.

Most of the initial effort is done by Lorenzo Miori and others (on ABI),
including reverse engineering and patching of the original firmware,
initial drivers, and more. Big thanks to you.

Thomas Martitz cae4ae2c71 Second try: Introduce plugin_crt0.c that every plugin links.
It handles exit() properly, calling the handler also when the plugin returns
normally (also make exit() more standard compliant while at it).
It also holds PLUGIN_HEADER, so that it doesn't need to be in each plugin anymore.

To work better together with callbacks passed to rb->default_event_handler_ex() introduce exit_on_usb() which will call the exit handler before showing the usb screen and exit() after it.
In most cases rb->default_event_handler_ex() was passed a callback which was manually called at all other return points. This can now be done via atexit().

In future plugin_crt0.c could also handle clearing bss, initializing iram and more.

Thomas Martitz abdc5935be Introduce plugin_crt0.c that every plugin links.
It handles exit() properly, calling the handler also when the plugin returns
normally (also it makes exit() more standard compliant while at it).
It also holds PLUGIN_HEADER, so that it doesn't need to be in each plugin anymore.

To work better together with callbacks passed to rb->default_event_handler_ex introduce exit_on_usb() which will call the exit handler before showing the usb screen and exit() after it.
In most cases it was passed a callback which was manually called at all other return points. This can now be done via atexit().

In future plugin_crt0.c could also handle clearing bss, initializing iram and more.

Rafaël Carré a01422c54b plugins: changes for targets with small plugin buffer (Clipv1)
- only enable overlays for targets with very small plugin buffer (<=
  0x10000 bytes, i.e. archos)
- change the condition for rockboy to reflect exactly why it can be
  built or not
- Some plugins need a large plugin buffer, only enable them if the
buffer is big enough (sizes measured on Clipv1)
- disable MIDI if we have 2MB (or less), we won't be able to load the
  instruments in the audio buffer
- remove unusable lua overlay loader
- sokoban code is bigger on clipv1 than on SH, assume it code is 20kB on
anything but SH so it builds with buffer smaller than 192kB
- reduce the Clipv1 plugin buffer size from 288kB to 96kb, disabling
  zxbox, chessbox, and fft

zxbox and chessbox have overlays which run on archos, we just need to
enable them on other targets. We'll also be able to run rockboy.

fft won't run as it needs a large plugin buffer for greylib

Thomas Martitz 0a1d7c28b7 Make open() posix compliant api-wise. A few calls (those with O_CREAT) need the additional optional mode parameter so add it. Impact for the core is almost zero, as open() is a wrapper macro for the real open function which doesn't take the variable parameter.
