05ace8e095 Fix "bookmark on stop: ask" when idle poweroff triggers. 
Previously, the prompt would come up during poweroff, and then if the user did not respond, the shutdown timeout would be hit and a hard poweroff would happen, which is bad. Now it just assumes you don't want a bookmark.

1fefb48e87 Fix System/Running Time to reset the running time whenever a charger or USB cable is inserted, not just when the cable is inserted in the running time screen. Should now make the running time actually be the amount of time rockbox has run since the battery was last charged, which is as far as I can tell the original idea behind the runtime menu.

c5b4482ee2 Revert r23599 and r23600 and fix the early usb problem at the root. The the viewportmanager and custom statusbar was initialized too late. 
Now, call it earlier and remove parts of it that caused the need to call it later. Removing that is OK since it's done again on settings loading.

235d1ae795 Fix FS#10745 - %mv not working in sbs... 
This fix is as good as we can do, but not perfect. Because the sbs is only updated when a button is pressed it will stay in the "volume changing" state probalby longer than expected.. which isnt terrible, but useful to remember.

bee5900032 Allow the x and y pixel values of viewports to be a negative number.. 
%V|-50|0|-|..... will position that viewport 50 pixels from the right of the display at the top.

3e7444ff87 part two of the grand overall wps/skinning engine cleanup work: 
* rename wps_engine to skin_engine as that was agreed on
* rename music_screen back to wps
* clean up the skin display/update functions a bit
* make skin_data_load setup the hardcoded default if a skin cant be loaded for whatever reason instead of doing it when it is first displayed

ignore any gui_wps or wps_ or gwps_ nameing in skin_engine/ ... these will be renamed as this work gets finished

5e5fc64cb2 Start of some apps/ and wps cleanup work... Move everything related to the actual drawing of the wps into apps/gui/wps_engine, things related to the actual screen are in apps/gui/music_screen.c (names are temporary unless noone comes up with anything better) 
No real code changes.

1d6df54df2 Convert a number of places in core and plugins to use the BIT_N() macro instead of 1<<n. Speeds up things on SH1, and also reduces core binsize. Most notable speedups: 1 bit lcd driver: drawpixel +20%, drawline + 27%, hline +5%; jpeg viewer: +8% for 1/8 scaling. Other targets are unaffected.

11ad7b4bc8 Move screendump from apps to firmware, solving two nasty firmware-to-apps calls. This required to move the filename creation functions as well. * Fix bug in the BMP header of Clip screendumps. * Add remote screendump for targets with an LCD remote. * Simplify some ifdefs and rename a macro in the sim.

309a3c4590 More compact screendump routines for core and greylib. 0d935ce75e Put the display colours for monochrome and greyscale targets into the target config files, and use them both for the simulator UI and screendumps. The Clip now shows the split display properly in screendumps and simulator. A side effect is that screendumps of ordinary monochrome targets are now 4-bit BMP files (saves an alternate code path, and might be more compatible with some gfx programs). * Simplify the simulation of split display, and also simplify greylib simulation. The simulator now always calculates 129 shades (2*128 for a Clip sim), and just uses 2 (or 4) of those for native display simulation. * Centralised the simulator LCD dimension definition.

8b9fdb540c redo how the statusbar updates are done. send the EVENT_GUI_ACTIONUPDATE event every time get_action() is called. The event wont be as realiable (timewise) as before, but seems to work better 
This also fixes FS#9761.
Also set the lcd font back to the ui font from the debug screens which use sysfont

e385ee18ce Decouple the statusbar drawing from the rest of the screen drawing. it is not drawn roughly 4x per second automatically. 
viewport_Set_defaults() will setup the given viewport with the correct "full screen" dimensions (so start at 0,0 if statusbars are disabled or 0,8 if they are enabled.)
All screens should keep the statusbar enabled, but if you really want to ignore the user setting you can disbaled it with viewportmanager_set_statusbar(false).

This commit also includes some menu/list viewport cleanups from kugel in FS#9603

2f8a0081c6 Apply FS#9500. This adds a storage_*() abstraction to replace ata_*(). To do that, it also introduces sd_*, nand_*, and mmc_*. 
This should be a good first step to allow multi-driver targets, like the Elio (ATA/SD), or the D2 (NAND/SD).

a3a5450399 Get checkwps compiling again: Move the definitions of BOM and BOM_SIZE to misc.c (they are not used outside misc.c, so don't need to be in the .h), plus always include misc.h in misc.c (not needed to fix checkwps, but good practice), and add unistd.h when __PCTOOL_ is defined.

01729e7a18 FS#9281 Rename of splash functions. 
* Remove gui_splash()
* Rename gui_syncsplash() to splashf() and remove its voice 
capabilities.
* Rename the internal splash() to splash_internal() and introduce an 
externally visible splash() that handles simple splashing  without 
printf functionality e.g. splash(HZ, ID2P(LANG_FOO)); or splash(HZ, 
"foo"); if a LANG_* id is passed it will be voiced.
* Adjust all places that called gui_syncsplash() to use the correct 
variant from above.
* Export both new functions to plugins and adjust places calling 
rb->splash() to use the correct variant so that we now have naming 
consistency between the core and plugins.
* Fix one latent bug that would cause my sim to crash with the above 
changes and correct P2STR and P2ID macros, thanks to pondlife.

f002b7d055 make %V a little simpler. only the x and y values have to be specified now (i.e %V|0|0|||||| ) 
default values are as follows:
width - lcd width - the x value
height - lcd height - y value
font - user font
fg colour - the themes fg colour on 16bit targets, black on greyscale targets
bg colour - the themes bg colour on 16bit targets, white on greyscale targets

7418c357c3 Make checkwps compile again. Still more work is needed though, as checkwps is compiled to emulate an iPod Color - this needs changing to allow the LCD (and remote LCD) dimensions/depth to be specified on the commandline - the new %V tags are validated against the LCD characteristics

e92d2c51ed Add a general-purpose parse_list function to parse a string containing a delimited list of items and adapt the parse_image_load() function in the WPS parser to use it. This function will also be used to parse the upcoming WPS %V viewport tag, but I'm committing it separately as these changes are unrelated to the viewport implementation itself.

583f186ce4 Implement FS #2976: Clip Counter for recording screen. If enabled in peak meter settings, it shows the number of times clipping occurred (clip indicator going on). Count is reset on recording start and only counts during actual recording. Stays on screen when stopping or pauzing. Also fix a drawing bug when peakmeters start at a non-zero x offset.

da5910eac0 Shutdown and powermanagement cleanup: * Use the proper function for determining whether the battery level is safe, and get rid of the extra one. Low battery warning now appears at 10% or less. * Don't delay shutdown artificially by 3 seconds due to low/critical battery warning. * Shutdown at critical battery level: Skip all disk-hitting housekeeping, make sure dircache stops, and don't mark disk as clean in eeprom.

74cbb0a1b2 Give color targets the ability to display each LCD line a different color and use this newfangled ability to provide themable colored file types. See the comments on read_color_theme_file and the sample.colors file provided for how to use this. .colors files go in themes directory for now. This separate line color function should be trivial to add to menus and wpss.

178c565beb Stop/shutdown logic rework in browsers and menus. Recorder V1: Double-Off shutdown is now possible from menus and sub-browsers as well. Player, other targets which are always powered during charging: Attempted shutdown from menu with charger plugged now displays the charging splash.

0d768a37f9 SWCODEC Recording: 1) Fix minor bug of not subtracting line aligment adjustment from buffer size. 2) Handle stop and pause better and let pcmrec thread lock the DMA as that could cause prerecording to get disabled internally 3) Make sure to snapshot DMA write index to ensure compiler doesn't perform multiple access when calculating available data (probably just paranoia on my part) 4) Handle USB connect in recording thread a little better by resetting hardware to defaults after closing 5) Make power managment stop recording properly when powering off (ie. no yield() from interrupt handler! :)

0f5cb94aa4 Big Patch adds primarily: Samplerate and format selection to recording for SWCODEC. Supprort for samplerates changing in playback (just goes with the recording part inseparably). Samplerates to all encoders. Encoders can be configured individually on a menu specific to the encoder in the recording menu. File creation is delayed until flush time to reduce spinups when splitting. Misc: statusbar icons for numbers are individual digits to display any number. Audio buffer was rearranged to maximize memory available to recording and properly reinitialized when trashed. ColdFire PCM stuff moved to target tree to avoid a complicated mess when adding samplerate switching. Some needed API changes and to neaten up growing gap between hardware and software codecs.

49a0a945ac Win32 simulator now supports iPod Color. Fixed screendump() to correctly work for iPod simulators on big endian machines. Removed duplicate button definitions.

05042affc7 Core: A graphics framework can now register a hook function to extend the core screendump routine. * Grayscale library: (1) Changed the screendump routine into a hook, and implemented it for H1x0. (2) The planar pixel setting routines now use one register less. Fixes build problem with developer builds (frame pointers enabled) on coldfire.
