I would love to not use Youtube for video hosting. The main obstacle is cost, at this point (I think?).

Being free of Google aside it would even be a lot easier assigning tags and stuff with a proper database, in place of the convoluted system I have now.

Probably a good thing to add to the 'reasons to have your own server' list.

Lots of things to learn, and money to earn first ;3
