Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
With the 2.0.0 release it would be a good idea to let some people know about it after the fact. Nothing to grab too much attention, or that could be considered spammy.
Task list:
I think this is great :) I have been thinking about similar things. I am not on any tilde servers (beyond tildegit), but can definitely spread the word on Circumlunar Space, Colorfield Space, Rawtext, and SDF. I will definitely let Ben know about the release since he has been involved in getting a few things on our issues board and wanted to have it up for tilde.town users.
It could be interesting to link out on hacker news or lobsters. I dont know that a ton of people would be interested, but I know there have been gopher posts before and people seemed to respond alright.
OK cool, I'll amend the list above with some checkboxes. I'll also put a name against the task.
Posting a gopher link to an aggregator would be a really good idea. Some options for the content could be just a link to the home page, or a release document like "what's new in 2.0.0". Maybe have a think about what this might be, if they already exist, etc.
A new task - the git repo title/subtitle need to be updated as they only reference gopher. I can take this on.
I don't think I can modify the title/subtitle for this repo. Maybe something like:
"Hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo! Ring a dong! hop along! fal lal the willow! Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo!". Bombabillo is a non-web client for the terminal, supporting Gopher, Gemini and much more. http://bombadillo.colorfield.space
Updated :)
Email is offline at the moment, wanted to confirm the tagline...
The second and third seem more correct and less ambiguous, assuming clients for the gemini and gopher protocols are called browsers too (in Wikipedia they seem to be).
The second option coveys more authority and exclusivity, while the third more...plurality? It seems kinder and more about sharing a space. The third is probably my preference.
I agree. Lets normalize on the third. :)

Promotion of the update continues. It turns out Lobste.rs is invite only and I do not have an invite. Hacker news got a post, but it didnt do too well. It seems to have gotten one natural upvote but no comments.
If you can think of any other places to make announcements definitely do so and add them to the list above (and check them off if you contact them). I've marked the ones I ahve reached out to.
I am going to close this. I believe 2.0.0 has sufficiently come to pass and issues have been dealt with reasonably well.
