We need to eventually switch to ldap auth, to enable single unified passwords, for all services.

Would also allow us to support more services, since imap auth isnt nearly as common as ldap.

Yeah, most likely. Biggest reason I've not done this yet, tbh. I've never used vault, so not entirely sure how it works.
