Pro:

  • News are a must have in the nixish world and the other cool kids (tildes) have their own newsgroups.

  • news.tilde.club needs more life.

Cons:

  • We aren't many (yet) and distributing activities over too many media fragments the community too much too early.

  • Newsgroups on news.tilde.club don't hold the messages eternally. Communicating on whaterver media is at hand and distilling the results to a wiki or web pages gives the information a longer life time than news offers.

One opinion:

  • I think news is not an urgent topic now, but having this issue as a reminder sure won't hurt.
