IN ORDER TO improve the reading experience
I WANT TO use the tag filtering capability to hide tags I'm uninterested in

I should be able to do this via https://tilde.news/filters; however, that page comes up entirely blank. Compare this (if you have a lobsters account) to https://lobste.rs/filters which presents a list of tags and check boxes to hide any of them.

looks like there are over 200 commits from upstream that i need to rebase on
