we could support HTTP as well, making cross-protocol things easy like:

  • spidering across protocols, eg following https links from gemini pages
  • automatically dual-hosting a gemlog on gemini and HTTP
  • easily building gemini-to-HTTP gateways like proxy.vulpes.one and portal.mozz.us

There are obviously lots of potential additional features, but gus should avoid any temptation to be a good HTTP server by any measure. The use-case is building a small web host which includes a presence on HTTP. Users should just be directed elsewhere for asset pipelines, react app hydration, or whatever else is new these days.
