Nix: a gentle introduction

nix is a package manager that works a bit differently to other package managers. It's a highly effective tool for installing and managing Linux (and MacOS) software, but the learning curve is well known to be quite steep.

This project is my attempt to improve that by providing a gentler on-ramp to using nix, that proceeds in a reasonably logical manner and explains just enough of what's going on at each stage.
