webzine.puffy.cafe is is not accessible from Russia: connection timed out.
Is this a server-side block?
The DNS seems okay with DNS Checker, if I choose Russian Federation.
Maybe @prx will have more informations
Could you share your IP? I asked the person hosting the webzine, and they don't do geo IP blocking, but use some blocking list, maybe your current IP ended in one :/
My IPs:
The problem occurs for many users from Russia: https://t.me/openbsd_ru/47454
I transmit this to the host, we will try to sort this out

Only 6 of 17 available: 11 - connection timed out (8 seconds)
Thank you
The server is not blocking, so it may happen at the ISP level.
As a workaround to the current situation, and to improve the webzine availability, I'm going to publish it on IPFS in addition to the traditional website.
You can use the CID
QmdtdqNnJEjzDLAiLKRB5vJ3X8Y3rBHAvZMM42JZaJmKwg
on any IPFS gateway.https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmdtdqNnJEjzDLAiLKRB5vJ3X8Y3rBHAvZMM42JZaJmKwg/public/ should work for THE CURRENT STATE of the webzine
You can find a list of IPFS gateway on https://ipfs.github.io/public-gateway-checker/ or run a local IPFS gateway
CID are immutables, they represent the state of the webzine at this point in time. I'll have to create an IPNS for dynamic CID resolution, or publish the CID for every new published versions, I don't know.
The person hosting the server may add onion and/or i2p service too if that can help?
Thanks, I'm already using tor as a proxy to access the site.
simple HTTP proxy: http://any-key.press:8001/
(via OpenBSD Amsterdam)
It seems to be better now : https://ping-admin.com/free_test/result/16621091282j8w1iui8zbc03511931d.html
Maybe we can add the link of the IPNS on the main page of the webzine, so we can share it globally. If needed, I might add an I2P endpoint on my server for redirection.
Yes, it looks like the problem is gone: http://ping-admin.com/free_test/result/1662111857i26s209172qq1zldx7023.html
Thank you all.
